When planning an international trip, choosing the right airline can make a big difference in your overall travel experience. From comfortable flights to friendly service and good food, the journey should be just as enjoyable as the destination.

On my recent trip to Barcelona, Spain, I had the opportunity to fly with Air France, with a 1.5-hour layover in Paris, France. And I have to say, my experience was a positive one!

If you're considering flying Air France for your next European adventure, here's a look at my experience and why I would consider flying with them again.

Taking to the Skies with Air France

There's something exciting about boarding an international flight, knowing that a new adventure is waiting on the other side of the ocean.

For this trip, I chose Air France to get me to beautiful Barcelona, Spain. Since my itinerary included a connection in Paris, I had two flights to reach my destination.

Overall, the flights were good, and I was pleased with my experience. When traveling internationally, I appreciate an airline that makes the journey pleasant, especially when you're spending hours in the air.

Air France delivered a good travel experience from the service to the meals.

The Air France Staff: Amazing Service!

One of the biggest highlights of my experience was the Air France staff.

The flight attendants were amazing! Friendly, professional, and attentive service can make all the difference when you're traveling, especially on an international flight.

I believe great customer service is one of the most important things an airline can offer. Passengers want to feel welcomed, comfortable, and taken care of throughout their journey.

The Air France crew certainly made a positive impression on me.

And when you're traveling internationally, that kind of hospitality is always appreciated!

Let's Talk About the Food!

Now, let's talk about something that's always important on a flight — the food!

Airline meals can sometimes be hit or miss, but I was happy with the food served on Air France.

The food was good! Having a satisfying meal while flying makes the experience much more enjoyable. It's one of those little details that can help turn a long travel day into a pleasant journey.

Between the good food and the wonderful flight attendants, Air France definitely earned some positive points from me.

My 1.5-Hour Layover in Paris

One part of my itinerary that other international travelers may find interesting was my 1.5-hour layover in Paris before continuing to Barcelona.

Paris is a major international connecting point for Air France, and many travelers heading to other European destinations may find themselves connecting through Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

With only an hour and a half between flights, this wasn't a layover for sightseeing or exploring Paris. It was a connection to reach my final destination.

If you're booking a similar itinerary, here are a few things I recommend keeping in mind:

  • Pay attention to your connection time. Ninety minutes can be a relatively tight connection at a large international airport.

  • Be prepared for passport control. Depending on where you're flying from, you may need to clear immigration in Paris before continuing to Barcelona.

  • Check your connecting gate. Large airports can require significant walking time or transportation between terminals.

  • Keep essential items in your carry-on. Medication, travel documents, and anything you may need immediately should stay with you.

  • Book your flights on one ticket when possible. This generally provides better protection if a delay causes you to miss a connecting flight.

For travelers flying from outside the Schengen Area into Paris and connecting onward to Barcelona, it's important to remember that Paris may be your first point of entry into the Schengen Area.

My advice? If you prefer a more relaxed travel experience, consider choosing a longer layover when possible.

Arriving in Beautiful Barcelona, Spain

After my connection in Paris, it was time to continue to Barcelona!

Barcelona is one of those destinations that offers so much to explore. From stunning architecture and historic landmarks to delicious food, beautiful scenery, and a vibrant atmosphere, it's a city that deserves a place on your travel bucket list.

One of the incredible things about traveling is that every journey brings new experiences and memories.

For me, arriving in Barcelona was the beginning of another exciting international adventure. And having a positive airline experience made the journey even better.

Would I Fly Air France Again?

Absolutely! Based on this trip, I would definitely consider flying Air France again.

Here's what stood out to me:

  • Flight experience: Good overall.

  • Customer service: Amazing staff who made the experience enjoyable.

  • Food: Good and satisfying.

  • Connection: A 1.5-hour layover in Paris before continuing to Barcelona.

  • Overall impression: A positive international travel experience.

Of course, every flight can be different, and everyone's travel experience will vary. But based on my personal experience, Air France is an airline I would happily consider for another European adventure.
